This LA Abrasion Machine had an aging motor on it. I picked something modern that would accept the same shaft diameter for the gear. Then I ordered an equivalent replacement knowing that the frame was going to be an inch and a half shorter than the old one. I made an adapter out of extruded aluminum to raise the height and be adjustable to the motor. The counter was cleaned up and everything was rewired with a new starter switch.
This helped upgrade aging lab equipment to being a functional piece.
